If you love seafood Vancouver Island is the place to go. Our seaside vacation rental overlooks Baynes Sound, which is rich in shellfish and home to the world famous Fanny Bay Oysters.

Lots to see and do! - If you can drag yourself away from your private beach and comfy accommodations you can go island hopping and visit Denman Island, only a short ferry trip from Buckley Bay (take your bikes and tour the Island), or go sightseeing in Hornby Island’s magnificent Helliwell & Tribune Bay Provincial Parks.

South - Nanaimo, B.C., known as The Harbour City, is less than an hour south of Buckley Bay. Nanaimo offers shopping and entertainment. Victoria, BC’s capital city, is just 2 ½ hours south and is another great day trip (though we know you’ll be glad to get home to your seaside beach house).

North - Mount Washington, BC, Vancouver Island’s premier ski resort, is just 45 minutes north of Buckley Bay and has lots to see and do in both summer (hiking, mountain biking, sightseeing) and winter (skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling).
